"I am an Indian." Margaret Teresa Vincent cried loudly. She felt humiliated that day when Poonam Sharma, her classmate said:

"You are a foreigner and you should have been thrown out of the country."

Margaret wept and Poonam who is not even an average student was telling her that. Margaret thought deeply.

"What is wrong with me? I am born in Syrian Malayalee community and I am a Christian. I have always considered myself an Indian first. I celebrate Eid, Diwali and Holi. In fact, I even go to my part time job on Good Friday and Christmas. I go to temple, I love God Ganesh but at the end of the day I am labelled has foreigner and converted Christian. I am not converted Christian. I am a Saint Thomas Christian and nobody has any right to call me a foreigner. " Margaret could not control her tears while she walked towards home. Next day, she saw an ad in the newspaper that some of the army officers were injured in the Indo- Pak border war and urgently needed blood. The best part was the camps were running all over India and Margaret ran to nearest hospital. She was healthy and for the first time she was donating her blood. She was proud to be an Indian, she was proud to be a human first rather than being proud of her religion.

"I love my country. I am proud of my identity and I did a good cause today. Being human is more important. Be it Hindu- Muslim - Christian- Sikh- Zoroastrians- Jain - Buddhist our country is known for unity and diversity. Respect its beauty and don't break your friendships just because of some Poonam kind of rogues. If my religion has flaws, even yours have- Man created religion and with it God was formed. Man and Religion in the name of God, divided the lands and mindsets. God ask you to love and spread peace. Be God's child. Respect one another." Margaret wrote in a form when she was asked why she was donating the blood?

Moral: Blood is Red so respect human being. It hurts when you hurt any religion but be proud of your identity. Respect!"
