"Old memories cannot be erased from hearts. The memories become photograph and a bunch of photographs become Albums." Gerald Evans, a girl in the late '30's wrote on her facebook. She had tears in her eyes, at the same time happiness on her face. She had found an Old Christmas Album while cleaning the wardrobe. Her husband Jerome flipped through the photos and teasingly commented:

"Gerald darling don't you think you were thin like a pencil and now a potato sack."

Gerald made a funny face. He was indeed right. The photo depicted glasses of Rasna, Plum cakes, and some traditional delicacies. All her seven friends had attended a Christmas party at her home. Rasna glasses made her nostalgic, mostly people serve aerated drinks these days, she thought vividly. Her thoughts were broken when Jerome called her from the bathroom for the towel. She ran towards the bathroom door and Jerome forcefully pulled her inside and they both had a playful shower. Gerald was a little uneasy.

"What is troubling you darling?" Jerome asked his wife.

"Nothing." She said slowly while wiping her darling's head.

He knew she was upset to see her one dead and gone friend's photograph. One was Sunita, so beautiful in their college days. Gerald wooed her beauty and wished if she were as slim as Suni. Suni had a sad story. She was married at an early age as 18 but she became a victim of an abusive marriage. She was facing it boldly but Brain tumour had taken her life. The news of her death had reached Gerald but they lived in different cities so she could not attend her last rites. Gerald was also busy with her marriage preparations that she could not go for the condolence meeting of her friend. Other best friend Yamini had unattended her marriage because of this reason. Sunita was a good friend and her memory was flashing in front of Gerald's eyes.

She was sobbing so to make her calm, Jerome got a photo album of Gerald's childhood.

"I want a baby so chubby like this." Jerome pointed towards baby Gerald's pic playing with a drum.

Gerald was so excited to see her baby pic. She was indeed so cute. Her memories then went back to her family and life at school and college. Many more photos were taken out of the wardrobe... Gerald had mixed feelings.

Moral: Memories are cherished, preserve it. Some people become a photo memory do keep them in your memories.
