Brother At Border
Brother At Border
Staring at the twinkling night sky,
With the thought of twinkling rakhi, I got stuck in a sigh,
You were going to come, it was a lie,
I love you commando, I Miss you Bhai.
My little superman turned to a soldier,
Incarnated as God in the eyes of the beholder.
The toy gun got replaced by vicious weapon,
And I still wonder, as in the moment of seconds it happens.
I miss our silly fights for Decorating lights,
And now you survive the war without frights.
The tug of war for that last pizza slice,
Don't you miss home and the way you used to add spice?
I had always bought you that twinkling rakhi,
And I remember you dreamt this while we watched baaghi.
I have posted your rakhi along with your favourite chocolate,
But alike my heart if would also melt,
You were mamma's boy, with the hustles how have you dealt?
I need you to protect me, an urge to hug me, haven't you ever felt?
Oh sorry! I forgot you are a grownup now,
With that Army uniform, a gentleman's attitude to show,
But I miss you, I don't know why and how;
I adore our clicks all stacked in a row.
You used to argue that you own mumma's heart,
How do you survive to stay far apart?
Don't you miss the gun ride of the bullock cart,
You love me but hide it like a dart,
Bhai; I still wonder where and when have you learned this art?
