Why I Am Cursed

This is the story of a "Girl Child" who was killed by her father immediately after her birth.

Once upon a time, in a small village of Punjab "Hosiarpur" there live a husband "Rajbir" and wife "Sunita" in a joint family. Life was running smoothly. Rajbir used to take care of farms and Sunita was a homemaker.

From past few days Sunita was feeling unwell and told Rajbir about her health. He took her to the doctor who told Rajbir that there is good news to her family as his wife is going to become a mother. Rajbir was very excited and happy after hearing the news. They both went back to home with a sweet box and gave this good news to all family members.

Rajbir and his family used to take good care of Sunita. But after few months Rajbir and his family were getting worried as they wanted a boy child. As the family was from a small village they had a prestige issue. They tried to check the gender of the child from a doctor who in turn told then that this is illegal in India and this cannot be done.

As the time of childbirth was coming nearby the villagers started talking to Rajbir and his family that soon a boy child will be coming to their family who will then take forward their family name.

During this time unknown Sunita had no idea about her husband and the family intention was just waiting for the child's arrival irrespective of gender. As she was going to become mother for the first time she was very much happy.

So now the day of result has come for which everyone was waiting for. Sunita was taken to hospital and soon her family got the news that "Girl Child" was born. Now Rajbir and his family was not ready to accept this truth and thought that their villagers, relatives and everyone they know will laugh on them due to the birth of girl child to their family. She is a curse shouted Rajbir!

He and his family decided that they are not going to face this kind of insult and will kill the baby girl. Sunita was unconscious after giving birth and had no clue what her family is going to do with her child. The newborn child was just thrown away by her father Rajbir on a tree in the jungle... the child began to cry because of the pain but the brutal father had no sympathy for her daughter and he repeatedly picked and thrown the child till she died.

Everyone wants a sister

Everyone wants a wife

Then.... Why not daughters...
