I was engulfed in the snows of Shimla, mesmerized with my favourite weather. As an intern, I was posted there for one month. That day, after my grocery shopping, I was coming back to my room. On my way, I came across some strangers trying to offend me. I tried to ignore them and amidst all these appeared a sober man with confident gestures. He did nothing but asked me just one thing, "Would you like to go for a ride"? I was totally irritated and saying nothing I just headed my way.

The other day, after my office work, I visited a nearby park to refresh my mind. It was around 5:30 and the evening was cold. I sat down on the empty bench and was busy with my laptop. A voice was heard again, it was the same voice asking, "Wanna go for a ride?". I was taken aback, beside me was the same man sitting whom I met yesterday. I knew nothing to reply and was stuck in thought that how a stranger can ask you for a ride. I was suspicious but his presence somewhat affected me positively. His personality was intriguing. A moment later, getting no reply from my side, he said, "I wanted no scene yesterday, but...". After saying this, he got up and left.

Whole night, I kept on thinking about him. I couldn't keep him out of my mind. A series of questions occupied my mind. "Why will a stranger ask me for a ride?". "Was he stalking me?". But, at the same time, I wanted to know him. This was the first time I was seriously affected by my acquaintance with someone. His presence didn't offend me, in fact, when he was around I couldn't come up with my questions. Being a girl, it was difficult to mingle with a stranger so easily. Moreover, I was worried whether I was gonna meet him again or not because I wanted to. A clash between yes and no was going on inside and I couldn't sleep that night.

Being busy with my office work, I tried to put him out of my mind. I decided to visit the same park at the same time with the hope of meeting him again. After my work, I approached that empty bench and sat down. It was my eager wait for him. My heart was again in a dilemma of whether to talk to him or not.

I was pretending to be busy with my laptop, but my eyes were in search of him. Fortunately, the same voice was heard. "Wanna go for a ride?"

I was pleased with the voice and looked at him suddenly. It was very difficult to control my emotions and pretend that I was not affected though I was. I welcomed him with a positive gesture and for a moment or two, we sat saying nothing. He finally broke the ice saying, "It's me Ahansh."

Both of us were involved in our conversations. I introduced myself as Sanah. Ahansh was from Delhi and was posted in my office. I was shocked to not know this. I was new to the place and never really saw him in my office. We shared many of our whereabouts. It was like we both found someone close to talk to in this new place. But yeah, I asked him why he asked me for a ride on that particular day. To this, he replied, "some strangers were offending you and I didn't want a scene there, so I asked you out in front of them". I was pleased with his way of protecting me. Again, I raised another question that why he asked me out again, this time he replied, "because I wanted to".

He was up with the same question again, "Wanna go for a ride"?

This time there was no doubt and I was confident enough to say yes. We decided to go for a bike ride and spend the whole day together.

It was Sunday morning and I was getting ready for the whole day ahead. He arrived to pick me up and we started off the journey.

Both of us were packed with sweaters and mufflers. Wintry morning with fog around seemed so beautiful. We stopped near a 'tapri' and had some tea biscuits. We started off again, roads were traffic free and it was peace all around.

The journey was so beautiful, it was for the first time I ever had these kinds of pleasing moments.

It seemed as if both of us were on a real escape from the real world. Finally, after a long journey, we went to a cafe to have some evening snacks. We ordered some sandwiches and coffee. Both of us were silent but had a lot to say.

Our order arrived and before we started to sip our coffee, he said, "I didn't want a scene that day, but I'd love to have a scene between us now, would you allow?"

He didn't need to ask me, because he knew I would.......
