Unexpectedly, Its Her

The alarm kept on ringing and someone knocked at the door - "come on dear, wake up. You will get late for school."

Suddenly I fall from my bed & realize it was just a dream. I got up and came downstairs and had my breakfast cooked by the most gorgeous lady, my mom. Dad left home for job as usual. Mom said goodbye to me I kissed her forehead and left for school.

Sorry, I forgot to tell you about myself. I am Jenny studying in the school near my home.

I went to school and there I saw my best friend Rose was waiting for me. She asked furiously - "why are you late ?"

Me - "you better know."

Then she hugged and all said - "yeah."

We went to class and sat on a bench. It was an accountancy class and I hate this subject as much as possible. Literally, nothing correlates with us.

After some time, a less than middle-aged lady, wearing specks with perfect looks entered the class. I saw her with widened eyes. Then she looked towards me & asked - "hello, is there something wrong?"

I came in my real world from imagination and all I could say was - "nothing... it's just... I'm sorry."

Rose asked me with questioned look why I'm acting weird.

Before I could say something that lady introduced her to us - "hi class! Its me Jessica, your new accountant teacher. We'll continue class, before you'll all have to introduce me."

Everyone introduced, including me. I know I am acting weird because I kept on stealing glances of my new teacher. Finally bell rang and class was over. I took a long breath and packed my stuffs.

Next day Mrs. Jessica told us about an upcoming test and she threatened us not to skip test otherwise it will effect our semester exam. I already hated accountancy and test was just like insult to my injuries.  I mumbled to myself - if its possible then I could make myself invisible after having that solution was mentioned in a fictional novel.

Suddenly Ms.Jessica called me and I saw towards her and trying my hard not to make eye contact.

Then she came to me and said - "meet me after class."

I was shocked then Rose asked - "why did she call you?"

Me - "I have no idea." 

Rose - "Ok, then I think you should go to her. Its true that when she is around you, you act different. I don't know why but I think you should confront her and at least try to reciprocate with her."

Me - "Don't dare to preach me again."

She rolled up her eyes to me and we both laughed.

After class, I went to Ms. Jessica and seriously I was highly terrified. I called her while startling Ms Jessicaa. She turned smiling towards me.

She - "Oh, Jenny come here and sit. I was waiting for you."

Me - "Sorry Ms Jessica I made you wait."

She - "No, it's okay ..."

She stopped for a while and there was an awkward silence. After sometimes finally she spoke.

Ms Jessica - "You know what... I have been teaching for 9 years."

Me - "So, why are you telling this to me ?"

She (smiled) - "I am telling you this because as per my teaching experience I can explain why you always keep trying to escape from me. I better know you have zero interest in accountancy that's why surely you don't want to give test. Am I clear...?"

I looked at her shockingly and surprisingly as well.

She - "Look, dear Jenny. Sometimes we have to face whatever we never expect from our life but you know we should be ready to face all the situation whether its best or worst phase of life. We should never stop to explore ourselves in this mysterious world where we have a lots of opportunities. So while adjusting ourselves we should continue our journey of life because adjustment is the second name of life. Well, I told you all these without knowing you very well but my intuition insisted me that I should talk to you because somewhere you needed someone to make you understand."

After a moment, I realized that I kept on watching her. It made the situation awkward again. Then I stood up and said - "Thank you mam but there is something else which you don't know."

Days were passing and finally, I appeared for the test. The next day when result came out I was super surprised that I scored 95/100. It was more than expected and surprised marks. Ms. Jessica who was just standing behind me and watching my excitement, called me.

Ms Jessica - "Finally, you passed the exam & I have surprise for you. I hope you won't deny."

Me (chuckles) - "What is that?"

Ms. Jessica - "Come to my place at night I'll cook dinner for you. If you want then you can bring Rose too."

I nodded just my head to answer her in yes.

At night, Rose and I went to Ms Jessica's house. She cooked spaghetti. To be honest, this was my favorite. During dinner Ms. Jessica asked me what was I saying on the very day, that I am unaware of what?

I mumbled - "No Nothing. It's just nothing."

We left her house and said goodnight to Ms Jessica.

Ms Jessica's P.O.V.

I saw a letter placed on the dining table, near my plate. I opened it.

Dear Ms. Jessica,

The first day I saw you, you noticed I am acting weird. But to be honest, I wasn't acting like that. I was nervous and surprised as well. Because you just don't only look like my late elder sister but you also sounded like her. My late sister Dani who was meant to be my world, left me and my parents in an accident 2 years before. Every single day, I dreamed that she is waking me up and making me get ready for school as she used to do when she was with me. When I lost her, I felt like I lost a part of me. But from the day you arrived, she didn't come in my dream. She also used to encourage me to do impossible things. She said - doing impossible things is a kind of fun. I'm very grateful to God, it doesn't matter if I couldn't see my sister again but every void has been filled by you.

Thank you for encouraging me to give the test and once again for telling me to see my real strength like the way my sister used to do.

My eyes filled with tears. The next day when I arrived at school, I heard Jenny's laughter and that made me happy too. She looked at me smiling and waved her hand towards me. I am also glad that I got at least one person whom I can consider my family.
