True Love

It started when a young man named Felix bought a dog. They both loved each other and they could not live without each other. Felix usually came home by 7 pm but it was unusual that it was already 9pm and hadn't come home. The dog became restless and started barking loudly. His barking became so ferocious that all the neighbors gathered outside the house. They rang the doorbell but nobody opened the door, however, the dog came near the main door and barked again.

The neighbours felt that something was amiss and decided to break open the door. The next-door neighbour had the duplicate keys to the house and he offered to use those. All of them agreed. As soon as they opened the door, the dog rushed out of the house and started running hysterically towards Felix’s office.

On the way, he saw a crowded place and thought maybe he would find Felix there. He saw a few people gathered at one spot. He sniffed and went near and saw a body that was badly hurt. Police had arrived and had started their investigation. They took Felix to the hospital and the dog ran after them. He sat outside the hospital and saw one of the neighbors coming towards him. The Police had informed them about Felix’s accident and his demise. 

Tears rolled down his eyes and he refused to leave the hospital. Felix was brought home and his dog sat beside him without eating or drinking anything. The family members and the neighbors tried really hard to make him eat but he refused. Days passed by, but he remained sad as he missed him dearly. Every day he used to sit near Felix’s picture and stare at the door hoping that he would come home and play with him. Such is the magic of true love.
