Space - Unravelling A Mystery

We all like to know about space, There was a girl who loved to explore and learn about space, her name was Aisha. Aisha loved to look at stars at night from a telescope her father gifted her on her 9th birthday. Her father was an Astronaut and worked for NASA. It was Aisha's dream to become an Astrophysicist and work for NASA like her father. 

One night, while she was busy looking at the Moon, suddenly a streak of lightning caught her attention. She did not understand what happened but kept on thinking about it. she went back to her bed and opened her favorite book to read. But she could not concentrate and keep on thinking about the light. She thought of asking her father.

She ran downstairs to check if her father had come back from work. She was disappointed to know that he would be late due to the upcoming space mission. Though she was convinced that she had witnessed one shooting star, but her little mind was yearning to discuss the same with her father. Soon, she fell asleep. She woke up startled the next morning as soon she her heard her father's voice. 

Dad, I need to tell you something. Yesterday when I was looking at the moon I saw a line of light pass through. Do you think that could be a shooting star? I did search it on the web but I want to know more about them. Have you ever seen one?
