A New Sunshine

This Pandemic has made us cry and made us lose our loved ones.

The same thing happened with an 11-year-old girl named Kiara. Kiara lost her parents because of the pandemic too. She missed her parents every day and used to think of all the good and happy moments they had together. This was a setback for her.

After her parents died she was sent to her uncle and aunt's home. But her aunt mistreated her, didn't let her go to school. She wasn't even allowed to go outside. She didn't get any proper food to eat either. Although, her Granny loved her a lot she was dependent on Kiara's uncle and aunt for all her basic needs. Hence, she was not capable of taking care of her.

Then, one fine day when her aunt was sleeping Kiara decided to run out of the house.

She didn't know where to go, so she kept on walking and walking. After some time she felt really tired, thirsty and hungry. She sat down on the nearby bench and tears started flowing down her cheeks remembering the happy times that she had spent with her parents. Soon, she fell asleep. The next morning when she woke up she found a simple and sober couple standing next to her. They asked her about her whereabouts. She refused to tell them. They took her to their place, gave her some food and a fresh set of clothes to wear. But she did not tell them anything about her.

They showered her with all their love. Kiara got to know that the couple had a daughter of her age who passed away due to a severe illness. With so much love, affection, and pampering, one day Kiara told them about her past. They decided to adopt her.

The kind couple approached her uncle and aunt and expressed their desire to adopt her to which they readily agreed as they wanted to get away from the responsibility of looking after her.

Finally, after completing all the formalities, Kiara became their adopted daughter. The Sunshine in everyone's life.
