Travel: Journey for Research

Wayanad is a place in Kerala, which is rich in forestry, animals and water resources. This place has diverse features of so many animals and plants due to the dense rain forests.

Being a flood prone place, no one can even enter into the place to grab any kind of resources in the forests. The Indian and Kerala Research team decides to search for research in the forests on the basis of animals and plants…

However, the research team was brutally attacked and killed by some dangerous animals inside the forests and hence, the Indian Government meets a young scientist named, Dr. Harish, who has created Soft Robotics, in-order to research on the mountains and forestry areas with features of Bio-Mimicry and automated design tools.

Harish has taken more than three years for creating this robot since he was studying the Control methods and techniques for creating this robot machine. Harish found success in controlling the robots and has also implanted Dielectric Elastomer and Shape Memory polymers in-order to make the robots adapted to the research fields. Besides creating this features, Harish also implanted sensors like Soft Stretch Sensors, Soft bending sensors, Soft pressure sensors and Soft force sensors, which depends on Magnetic fields and Capacitance.

However, Harish's robot design was rejected by the Indian Government, who mocked Harish for wasting his times in creating such soft-robotics. Angered with the behavior of Indian Government and his research head, Harish challenges them that, they will come to seek his help on one day and at that time, this robots will be praised by the government.

As Harish told, now the Government and research head has to meet him in-order to seek his help and Harish agrees to conduct research into the forests of Wayanad. The Indian Government makes legal terms and agreements for his robotics and sends him to Wayanad through a flight.

But, before Harish can come to Wayanad, he takes his laptop in-which he has created a design software for controlling his robots with the help of sensors, Shape memory alloys, Pneumatic artificial muscles and Optical loss.

Harish learns the brutal attacks of the animals for the research teams through the minister's photos and had hence, brought the laptop from where, he can watch the moves of robots as well as the design of forests.

Harish stays in the entrance of Rainforests and starts to monitor the movements of his robotics machines while also having note on weather and climatic conditions prior to the dense nature of the forestry.

The soft-robots moves into the forests resembling the similarities of a crocodile and snake movements, which will crawl and goes into the waters and forests. The robot reaches 100 metres in 5 minutes after which, Harish notices some tall trees, medicinal plants and some dangerous animals which, have diverse nature and looks with poisonous gas in their mouths, which may kill the humans, who enters into the forests for any purpose.

After this, the robot goes into the place of tribal people, who worship those animals, praising them as god's creatures. Harish notices this also and further on, he notices the Lion-tailed monkeys and some other newly formed monkeys, which resembles the act of humans after he sees their martial arts skills.

Later on, the robot crawls two kilometers in-order to show Harish, the streams, rivers and waterfalls, which are told to carry water throughout the years and people, never pollutes or harm the water bodies and they worship it as gods.

Here, the Robot shows some other animals and aquatic organisms, which has dangerous electrical forces of 1 megawatts, and it may pass down the electrics into the strange humans, if found to be dangerous.

In contrast, Harish further learns that, those animals has never harmed the tribal humans and indeed, harms down the researchers and outsiders, who comes with the intention of destroying the forest lands and environment.

Later, some of the tribal people notices Harish and the research that he undergoes after which, they alarms out their team and gathers around while some animals also hides behind and listens to them.

Harish was almost beaten to death by the tribal, until he confesses that he is also a victim of pollution and natural disasters. The people further, learns his upset on the society and apologizes to him for behaving rudely with him.

Those animals also understands this and spares the robot, which they captured after learning it's mysterious acts. Harish writes down his results as an article to the government in which he mentioned these lines:

"Sir. After coming to Wayanad Rain Forests, we noticed some diverse animals and plants species, which protects these forests and are worshipped by the tribal population. They never allows for the exploitation of resources and are keen on protecting the nature god. Hence, like these places, I suggest you protect our forests and natural resources, with some new acts and laws which, concerns the protection of the environment"

Harish stays with the tribal people so that, he can enjoy the natural places of Wayanad and the notice written by him, also reaches the Indian Government, who are all impressed with the success of his robots.

They plan to enact Environmental protection acts, making strict measures for the conservation and they legally get the Soft-Robots from Harish, getting all the rules and regulations books from him as a soft copy and keeps it for their research purpose, crediting it in the name of Harish.

Harish feels happier that, his travel to Wayanad, for a research, proved to be good and useful and feels proud.
