Together Everyone Achieves More
The whole world was under a lockdown. Cities and streets were deserted. It was the month of May and it was very hot outside. The temperatures were soaring.
Reyansh was sitting idle at home and browsing through his twitter profile, when suddenly he came across a tweet by a renowned social activist of India. The tweet consisted of a picture of a small girl not more than 4-5 years of age. She was wearing torn clothes, was sitting on the ground and crying profusely. The tweet was related to the city Reyansh lived in and it spoke about the hardships being faced by a small orphanage due to the strict lock down measures in place. The social activist was making an appeal to everyone to help the kids at the orphanage. The address and other details were also given. Reyansh realized that the orphanage was not very far.
Reyansh decided to help the kids at the orphanage, however, he was not sure how to do this alone. He was then reminded of all his colony friends. He quickly took all of them namely Raju, Radhika, Yash & Smriti on a video call and discussed the case. All of them brainstormed on how they could provide food and other essentials to these kids. They decided to divide the work among themselves. In order to fulfill these tasks, they spoke to their respective parents and apprised them of their plan. The parents were delighted to hear their plans and promised help wholeheartedly.
Reyansh, Yash & Smriti volunteered to provide them with Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner on a daily basis and also some food grains and other important things like water, disposable plates, etc for any emergency. Raju decided to help them with clothes. Radhika decided to help provide Air coolers on rent from local shops.
Soon they contacted the orphanage and began their work. the orphanage and the children were extremely happy and grateful for the help extended to them. It also gave immense pleasure and satisfaction to the kids to be able to help the poor and needy.
Moral of the story - Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much
