At the restaurant heard the loud conversation at the next table over "it’s fixed Thali - no sharing please" did not give a good feel.

‘No sharing’ ??

While the decision maker was browsing the menu card, I was on a quick glance at the new book in hand ”Myth= Mithya- Decoding Hindu mythology” by Devdutt Pattanaik.

What a strange fortuitous coincidence. Reading about how Kaushalya and Kaikeye(wives of Dasharatha) shared the sweet porridge with Sumitra ( the third wife of the king) who was deprived of her portion for some strange reasons.

Well, even as I was relishing the food, could not help reflecting on the food that occupied my thoughts too. Their grace of sharing and the return gifts both got in so doing.Their sons ruled the kingdom one in absentia for 14 years and the other for over thousands of years thereafter!

The true joy of sharing. Culture getting contaminated in this current commercial world.
