The Silver Lining

It was raining heavily. Every drop of pouring water was adding fuel to the fire of raging emotions in my heart.

My son, who was back on duty after a month’s break, got killed in Pulwama terror attack. He was my only hope in life after my soldier husband died in Kargil war.

I decided to put an end to my life.

A phone call pulled me out of my thoughts.

My son’s girlfriend broke the news of her pregnancy.

With my grandchild in offing, I once again breathed life.

Rain stopped……..A silver lining was visible around every cloud.
