The boy stood up as the crowd applauded. The anchor gave him a microphone and the crowd went crazy as he spoke into it.

"I have not come to compete with you, " he said, waving his right hand at the three contestants seated in the first row below the podium, "but to rule over you."

The crowd just went beserk. The three contestants for the election stood up in awe at the intensity of the words he spoke. They felt deluded by the words he spoke next as they didn't mean to challenge them but mocked the very organization that each one of them represented.

"I have worked with you and I know your pain. You know what I do for you. You also know what I can do for you. I don't even need your votes, as you all know that I shall always be with you forever regardless of whom you choose as your representative."

One of the three contestants who seemed to have made a lot of impression among the voters in his last speech summoned all his courage and rose up. He rushed toward podium with his right hand in his pocket and went straight towards the boy still holding the microphone and making the crowd sway to his resounding speech. In the flash of an eye he retrieved a pistol from his pocket and aimed at the speaker. Unflinched by his threatening demeanor the boy continued, "Your weapon stands useless before the vastness of the crowd who know that your speeches are a simple eye wash and you'll eventually forget all your promises as the party f

unding your campaign will make you a puppet in their hands and you'll dance to their tune. So, stay away from such actions as the time has come to ask what your party has done for the masses it represented till now. Even if you open fire and kill me now, the crowd is going to spare neither you nor your party. So, maintain restraint and calm down."

The contestant turned back as the words drove deeper into his subconscious. The crowd was advancing towards the stage and he couldn't trace the other two contestants.

"They have fled!" he thought, and sprinted towards the back of the stage.

"Catch him!" "Hold him!" "Make him pay for his sins!" the crowd shouted.

"Wait!" said the boy holding the microphone, "If you hit him now, he will hit back later. So, spare him and let him change. He will work for you. That's what we are here for." The contestant put down the pistol and looked up folding his hands, scared by the menacing crowd which could tear him to bits any moment. His only hope rested in the boy, the sole enemy of the party he represented. He fell to his knees in front of the boy.

"I stand with you," he said.

The boy held him in both arms and raised him.

Addressing the crowd he said, "This is our revolution. We have to change the set up from this level so that we have no enemy. We shall not kill the enemy, but will kill the enmity."

The crowd responded with a loud applause.
