I don't think he is the person I believed him to be," Maya said to Gaby. Confused, Gaby asked, "Who are you talking about?" Maya sighed and replied, "Sorry, I just started speaking out of context... you know how I am. I'm talking about my very sweet godfather. After some recent hints, I highly doubt I really know him." Gaby questioned, "Are you sure about this? You were so certain before, and now you're not." Maya replied, "The thing is, he has given me enough reasons to reconsider everything. Why Niki? Why Riyaan? Why Chaaya? Why are you the one going through a divorce while Niki is expecting a baby? Why is the family still manipulating you and not her?"

She continued, "You know, Niki wasn't innocent either. She was deeply involved in all of this along with the rest of the family," Maya pointed out.

Gaby sighed and added, "And after everything that happened, why did she get to join the family business?"

Maya responded, "I know, I was the one who suggested to her she should, but do you really think that was the right choice after all that happened? I mean, come on..."

"And about my divorce... I actually wanted it just a few months into my marriage. My father-in-law even agreed and told my husband to leave me, but he never did. In fact, a few years later, when I was expecting my second child, he even said in front of his mother that if Aryan wasn’t here, he would have left me. Technically, if we had divorced, the younger one would have been mine. But now, things are different... Over the years, my husband has changed, and honestly, I'm happy now. He’s even thinking of having another baby, which I don't want."

Maya paused and continued, "Divorce was never because of my godfather. Still, I can't help but think about everything..."

"Well," Gaby said, "forget about your godfather and enjoy your life with your family. Let the past stay in the past."

Maya smiled and said, "You’re right. I guess it’s better not to overthink and just be grateful for everything."
