The Golden Cage

Once a Sheikh from Abu Dhabi bought a parrot from India. He kept it in a Golden Cage. He gave him the best food and took good care of him. He named him Sheku!

Now Sheku knew to talk as he was a desi parrot! One day the Sheikh had to go to India for some work.

He asked his wife, what could he bring for her! She said some gold ornaments. His son demanded a new toy! Now it was Sheku's turn!

Sheku said that if the Sheikh met his relatives there, then he may pass the message that he is alright and fine and is in Abu Dhabi!

The Sheikh agreed and went to India .

After finishing his work, he bought some gold ornaments for his wife and a toy for his son. Then he went to a park and said that your friend is in Abu Dhabi and is fine and is leading a royal life!

Hearing this, one of Sheku's friends' came near the Sheikh and sat on his shoulder. He asked where does he live in Abu Dhabi?

The Sheikh said that he lives in a Golden Cage! The parrot became sad and fell down unconscious!

The Sheikh didnot know what happened! He tried to wake the parrot but could not!

The Sheikh came back to Abu Dhabi and told everything to Sheku. The latter too fell down unconscious!

The Sheikh quickly took out his beloved parrot from the cage! As soon as he did this and kept Sheku on the ground, Sheku got up and flew up in the air!

The bewildered Sheikh looked up and asked Sheku why was he going away and why did he enact of being unconscious!

Sheku said that his friend passed on his message by enacting being unconscious and also the way to get out of the cage. Anyway freedom is better than the Golden Cage!

The Sheikh wished a happy life to his beloved parrot and bid him goodbye!
