The gill-saviours
The gill-saviours
It all started from the middle of the sea. My squad was taking a ride on the boat. We were enjoying the vast swells of the omnipotent sea; the surging hollow roar they made, as they rolled along, like gigantic bowls in boundless bowling green. The rare odors of the wet sea made me feel like I was in paradise. The blue sea matched perfectly with the sky creating a beautiful picturesque. The tangle of the sea smell, the weeds, and damp took my breath away.
Silence was broken by the screams and shouts of my friends as we slowly drowned and our boat sank. We were all set aghast and were taken aback. The atmosphere grew heavier with fear. Tension took over! We all were petrified, traumatized, panicked , concerned . We tried to swim but were almost out of breath. The shore was too far away. We swam, but for how long could we continue that? One of my friends, Cassie blacked out. Everyone was worried, darkness kept taking over us. We all were exhausted. Soon we heard whistles and clicks, it was coming from somewhere near. We followed the sound to find the source. Cassie was in our hands still unconscious. As we grew closer, the sound grew louder. We soon realized it was the call of a dolphin. To our surprise, it wasn't a dolphin, it was a school of dolphins. They whirled around us in a friendly way. They again began whistling, it was as if they were telling us to hop on. Yahoo, dolphins to the rescue! We grasped their humpbacks and they zoomed off. It was fun as if going for a dolphin humpback ride. In no time they took us to the shore. We got off.
We thanked them a lot. They smiled and we smiled back. We bid them a fond farewell. We swam a little and reached the shore. Cassie's pulse was steady, she was breathing. We gave her CPR and with the almighty's grace she woke up. We spent some time at the shore, facing the vast and breathtaking sea. The sea waves slapped the shore and whispered in a fizz as they withdrew again. Soon we left and headed back to our home. It was a pretty adventurous day!
