Invaders From Outer Space

It was a cold and dreary night. I was cycling at top speed along a lonely road, hoping to reach home quickly as it was late. Suddenly, my attention was arrested by a reddish ball of light flashing across the dark sky. Then, it fell to the ground. It appeared to be a queer, oval-shaped object on its four shiny legs.

I rubbed my eyes in disbelief. A flying saucer! Could I be dreaming? I pinched myself hard to make sure I was awake. The flying saucer wasn't a figment of my imagination. An ice-cold shiver ran down my spine.

Then, a few bizarre creatures made their way out of the flying saucer. They looked like octopuses. One of them shot at me with a laser gun. I felt paralyzed. The creatures carried me to the saucer. They took my blood and saliva for some tests. Some time passed and I could move again.

The leader of the aliens used a special voice machine and spoke to me in English. I was dumbfounded! He said that they had come from a distant planet and wanted to conquer the Earth as the conditions here suited them. They wanted to colonize Earth and make humans their slaves.

"I must save the Earth !" I thought to myself. I pounced on the creature and gave him a hard blow on his head. He fell and I seized the laser gun and paralyzed the others. Later, I set fire to the control room. Hurriedly, I made my exit from the flying saucer. I was just in time as it soon exploded with a deafening bang. I was very proud of myself and went home.

The next day, the newspapers carried the headline ' Big Meteor Hit Earth ?' Big meteor! It was the flying saucer.

" Luckily, I've killed the invaders.", I thought to myself, heaving a sigh of relief.
