The Final Goodbye

"What happens when you are forced to say a final goodbye to a blood relative when that person is alive"?

 the story starts with a boy waking up in the morning and starting his day as he does always but he had no clue how fast his world will turn upside down. While having lunch notification bell on his phone rang and like any individual, he checked his phone to calm down his curiosity, the notification was coming from his WhatsApp family group. After opening his family group he found out that an announcement has been made by his aunt (bua) is taking "diksha"(In other words she was becoming a HERMIT), the boy had no idea what that means. After discussing this matter with his parents he came to know the true meaning of this announcement, the details made him speechless. The aunt was following Jainism (religion) and taking "Diksha" means-

1. Removing her Hair completely  / going bald
2. Leaving her family and relations behind
3. Wearing white Thin cotton sheet and a  loincloth irrespective of weather
4. Sleeping on a thin mat irrespective of weather
5. Living without Fan and other facilities
6. Travelling by walking barefoot
7. Eating the food which will be acquired through donation

The details made the boy very sad and concerned for his aunt because her family is the most reputed family as a well rich family in Delhi. Her decision caused chaos in the family and as a result of which all the family members including her brothers, sisters, her kids etc. Begged her to rethink her decision but their efforts were not fruitful. The mother of the boy requested him to call his aunt and request her to rethink her decision but the boy was really short of words, he was not able to call her as his heart was not allowing him for an unknown reason. With each passing day, the boy was getting really sad as he was anxious because he knew the day was coming when he would be forced to say goodbye to her forever. Boy was called by her aunt's religious teacher (also known as Maharaj ji in Jainism) to have a chat, during their chat he was reminded by her teacher to spend the majority of his time with her as he will not be able to see and spend time with her in this life. With each passing day, the boy is remembering every good memory he has shared with her, he also remembered that she was there with him at his most difficult time like when he was having life-threatening surgeries etc. But the boy forgot this and started avoiding her as much as possible. Now he regrets his actions as he wouldn't have done anything if he knew their time together was short. The boy will be forced to his final goodbye to her on 30th April 2023.

I am asking you guys –how should the boy react to this situation? Should he attend her farewell functions or not? How should he express himself? Is the boy overreacting? What should the boy do?
