The Fallen Angel And The Devil In Disguise

All the Gods were summoned to the Chief God's place. It was midnight and the Gods were sleeping when the messenger came to escort them. They took their seats in the meeting chamber. The chief God looked scared and sweaty as he announced that they had an emergency.

"Is it ISIS"? asked one. "or is it the global warming"? asked another. Chief God took a deep breath and said: "One of the Angels has sinned". There was grave silence in the chamber. Nobody knew what to say. It was the first time that they had heard of something like this. They looked at each other and then at the chief. After an awkward moment of silence, the door opened and the accused angel walked in. "kill her", "imprison her","cut off her wings" the hate comments started coming from every corner of the meeting chamber.

The angel pleaded innocent. She fell on the floor and begged for justice.

In that cacophony of hatred was a tiny voice which said "My name is Cronus and I might be new at being a God, but this poor soul looks innocent to me. Look at her blue eyes, as pure as the water from River Ganga or ZamZam from Mecca or the holy blood of one of our own, who was crucified. I believe her. Please let her go". It was not easy but Cronus fought hard and eventually convinced the good lords. The angel walked out, free as a bird.

The moment the accused angel had walked into that chamber, Cronus knew what she had done. He was quick enough to notice a tiny drop of blood at the corner of her lips. He knew she had tasted blood. He knew it won't be the last time either. He knew she had sinned. Yet he defended her and set her free.

Cronus walked out of the chamber, their eyes met for a brief moment and the sinister smile appeared. The silent wind suddenly turned into a storm as two little horns grew on his forehead and his eyes turned red. The Devil knew the angel had fallen.
