The Dark Truth

Tara was quintessentially a naive. She was a bright student and took admission in a highly certified college. It was her first year and a the end of the year, she finally got a best friend. 

It was a serene night, but she got up in the middle of the night, she was sweating profusely, suddenly, she heard some mysterious sound. For sometime, she ignored that, meanwhile, it was dark all around and she was surrounded by dark shadows all around, then the door of almirah started opening & closing, she felt she was being pulled downwards but she held the corner of her bed, then, she tried to scream but her throat was dry and she could not scream, so she thought to call the security and warden but her whole contacts were gone, it had all vanished, and all horror scenes which she had ever seen in movies happened to her and this continued for an hour or so. This continued to happen for a month. 

Finally, on being advised she visited a physiatrist, the psychiatrist gave her an opaque coloured bottle of pills. She didn't tell this to anyone except her best friend. Daliy, her best friend gave her the pills. She continued the pills but that didn't seem to work. 

She then visited another psychiatrist, to her surprise, it was her school friend, Myra. Tara narrated everything to her friend. Myra also gave the same pills, then Tara showed the pills which she was taking earlier. Myra was confused as the shape of pills were different and asked Tara to visit her after two days. 

Myra sent the pills which Tara was taking earlier for a lab test. On observation, it was found that those pills were banned pills, it deteriorated the patient's condition. When Myra enquired Tara as to why she was taking the banned pills. Tara replied that she didn't know anything about it, she just took the pills which the doctor has given to her. Myra told what she found on lab observation. 

Tara recovered upon taking the correct pills, but only the following lines echoed in her mind, “It was my best friend turned -frenemy, I don't know when she turned frenemy, but yes, I realized "The dark truth.”
