The teacher who changed my life,

Will you smile away at all the compliments I give you or accept them, for a change?

How I wish I could learn from you, a little more and a little better!

To be rowing the boat without looking back or you may hit the dock and never know it, yes you taught me all about life.

I paralyzed myself, with negativity and the toxic people all around. You taught me how to trust myself and let go of everyone else who convinces me not to. I wonder how you said it all, knew it all.

You taught me how studying isn't about sleeping with books under the pillow, but about reading less and observing more. "Someone like you wrote this book, you sure can read and understand it too", you challenged me to challenge myself and I made sure I won.

I didn't spend a lot of time with you but you surely made sure I could sustain the rest of it without you. I could never think of a Guru-Dakshina worth your wisdom but since we both are very high-school that way, I thought why not write a letter to you instead.

I hope you miss me sometimes, when you see a girl jump over the waves in a sea beach or spill things over her dress, trying to gulp the last sip of everything, tea, coffee, and life.
