Sibling By Soul

Sibling is a boon in a barren life. Sibling is a sour and sweet Candy which captures your time and emotion, but leaves you, still loving it.

Years back I had little brother as the tamarind in my "Golgappa", and today I have him as a sibling by soul. 

 I can't see him around anymore but his immortal touches visit me often. Those times when he appears in my dreams it's all so... silent and intense, but I miss those fights we had about who will sleep with the teddy bear. Now it's not nice getting it everyday all by myself, as I smell him in it and I cuddle it deeper.

His faces in the pictures which I earlier used to smash seem like longing for a kiss now. Oh! how I miss his hands clutched in my hair tight or his scratches on my Math Book to make it untidy. Well, the tidiness isn't wanted anymore.

We can't talk often because maybe, there aren't enough telephone lines in heaven but we exchange messages by heart, as he left his hand print on mine. Every year for Rakhi, I send him Threads with throws which he returns with tears of joy pouring on us. Some days when I find his shoes and try to jump in them, he competes with me pushing me lower, but I don't mind the competition anymore. 

He is solemnly connected with me, he is there in every Breath I Breathe wondering why he left his ...

He is there pinching my ears with every sound I hear ...

He is there when I play dumb,

he is there with me writing this for you to read,

he is my sibling by soul which leaves me numb.
