Shoe Maker

Anamika was staying in a multi-storey housing complex. During her educational and professional journey she observed a Shoe maker with repairing tools sitting on foot path carrying out repair jobs. Whenever any repairs were needed pertaining to any kind of shoes in her house the same were assigned to him. She observed that although he had a limited education and little exposure but In his repair work he was very skilful and innovative adding value to his work.

When Anamika was a kid her grandmother told her that everything in life is predestined and the best suited to circumstances and it is not possible to change the same and in this context she told her story which always remained in her sub conscious mind.

The Story

God of death sent his representative to earth to bring mother of a newly born baby as her time was over. Representative saw that newly born baby has no body else except her mother and they were very poor no place to stay ; he could not imagine what is going to happen to new born after death of her mother so he questioned his boss’s order and expressed his unwillingness to perform the job assigned to him. Another rep was sent he brought the mother of newly born baby and representative who had refused job under punishment was thrown to earth and was asked to stay there till he has thrice experienced that what ever is destined is correctly suited for that time.

Rep was lying naked on road shivering in cold unaware about how things are going to unfold.

one shoe maker who was not very well off was returning to his home after purchasing of blanket for his home from city , on way he saw rep of Yamraj shivering in cold lying naked and under compassion gave him blanket purchased by him and learning that he has no place to stay took him along with him , on reaching home; wife of shoe maker expressed very much anger on acts of her husband and reluctant to keep rep of Yamraj at their home some how shoe maker convinced her that rep of Yamraj would be good help for him to assist and enhance their income.This was his first learning that everything is predestined.

Rep of Yamraj was very skilled at his work and soon shoe makers Income started increasing and he earned reputation of one of the best shoe maker.

One day kings persons brought very good quality of leather and asked for making designer shoe, Some how because of some communication gap / mis understanding rep of Yamraj instead of designer shoes made slipper out of the leather given for designer shoe making , On seeing that owner shoe maker was very much annoyed but kept him self undercool to wait how kings rep are going to take that serious mistake. Few days letter kings rep came very early in the morning and asked for the shoes made from the leather informing that king is dead and shoes are to be put on to his dead body, when they were given slippers they were astonished to see as the same correctly suited for a dead king and Rep of Yamraj had second experience.

Days kept on passing their business had grown and they had big show room.One day a very rich lady along with a beautiful girl came to their show room and asked for variety of shoes to suit wedding occasion ceremonies. Somehow rep of yam under intuition asked lady was the girl her real daughter? Lady after intial reluctance keeping girl busy in choosing took rep of yam aside and told her that she has picked her as a newly born baby lying at road while passing through as she had no child of her own and fact is not known to the girl also.Yamraj rep’s third experience was realised so he took leave from his master and returned back.

Anamika ignoring shoe makers social status developed love for him and under resistance from parents , relatives and others married to him.

Realising innovative skills of her husband she took some loan from bank under make in India initiatives and started a small scale unit to manufacture various kind of shoes through recycling of old shoes and also with new materials. She complemented her husbands skill with her computer knowledge and google use and soon they were recognised a quality shoe maker Providing varieties at a very very competitive prices giving tough competitiveness to chines products.

Parents, relatives, and others seeing their growth realised their mistakes, apologised to them and a recognised understanding blissful journey continued.
