"And what is your name?" I asked looking at her.

"Sara", she replied.

"Ok, nice name", I told thinking Sara is a Muslim name or Hindu. Since that day, we both used to come to class together, sit together, study together, lunch together, and go out of class together. It was our daily routine, we used to meet at a boring road crossing, from there we used to go to the institute together after class also we used to come to the boring road crossing together and separated into each other's home. Few boys in our class also used to pass comments on us.

One day, she was absent. I felt bored the whole day and was not willing to do anything. I was missing her too much. After class, I was going to my room alone on foot. I was thinking about her and talking to myself in mind. She didn't come today, what happened to her? It may be she is ill, or some guests came to her home or she went somewhere else. But she didn't call me to inform. I took out my mobile several times to call her, but I couldn't.

When I reached the boring road crossing and turned towards the boring canal road to go to Rajapur Pool, I saw Sara suddenly. She was with two boys. She kept a polybag in her hand. It seemed that she had bought some clothes. A bike was also there. Three persons were talking and laughing. I felt too surprised to see this scene. I turned my eyes towards the road immediately, so that she can't see me. A few seconds later, I heard my name 'Awanish,' someone was calling. I understood that she saw me.

I looked there. Sara was smiling and both boys were looking at me. "Awanish, come here", she said. "Hii, You were absent today", I told looking at her. "Ya, I was a little busy today shopping. Ohh, And, Awanish, meet him. He is my boyfriend Sonu and he is his friend." I was shocked. That day only, I came to know for the first time in my life that friend and boyfriend is a different thing. I was imaging myself as her boyfriend, but I was wrong. I was only a friend to her. The fever of love for her went out of my mind that day. We became good friends that day and I kept in touch with her until she left college. Even, I helped her and her boyfriend several times in finding room on rent, in studies and several more things.
