Good Morning Friends.

Today in my blog I am disseminating one more intriguing story. It's titled

Sandals.

A Monk who studied Zen for ten long years was about to accomplish the status of a Zen Teacher.

The initiation was to be administered by the Zen Master himself at the monastery.

When the Monk arrived on that turbulent day, the Zen Master welcomed him with a question, “Tell me, did you leave your sandals and umbrella at the porch?”

“Yes”, replied the Monk, surprised at the silly question.

“Tell me,” continued the Zen Master, “Did you leave your sandals to the left of your umbrella or the right?”

The monk realized that he wasn’t prepared yet. He hadn’t attained the comprehension of a teacher.

The Zen Master asked him to study another couple of months the lesson of awareness before he initiated the Monk as a teacher.

Eventually, the monk became one of the most renowned teachers of all time.

The lessons learned.

We can sometimes study for 10 years and know nothing and at times, a study for 2 months with total awareness can be enough to become a subject expert. 4 years of engineering couldn’t teach someone what a few days of certification courses in work-life could. The difference wasn’t in the content of the courses or the teachers, the difference was in me.

Debrief

It doesn’t matter what we have been doing for the last 10 years, it matters how we have been performing it! .How much cognition, dedication, devotion focus, and commitment have we put into it?.

That’s the differentiating factor. Whether it’s a job, a relationship, marriage,e or a study, how much of our self do we put into it, enacts the whole outcome. It is always quality over quantity.

Let’s approach the new year with better awareness dedications, & passion about what every we do to achieve the taste of success.
