Using the word relationships or rather propagating the prevalence of ideas that promote relationship in plurals has become more popular. Often times, we use relationship to glorify the shallowness of our current status quo.

That attempt to make the status quo look acceptable, we have given it a number of terms in the past like boyfriend, girlfriend, fling, infatuation & crushes etc.

A relationship is a duty; carried out with undying and unconditional love.

It's that sacred a bond and word to be used while discussing people who have seen and braved the worst versions of you.
