A strange thing had happened to me during my initial days as a police officer. The incident took place after a month of joining duty. I was posted in a suburban town and was living alone in a small but comfortable rented apartment. I spent the whole day attending to my duties and in the evening I used to have drinks with my colleagues at our club. I returned late at night and crashed on the bed right away. This was my schedule for almost all days. But the strange thing that I had noticed was the presence of a girl at every place I went.

She seemed to be about 20 years and was one of the most beautiful women I had ever seen. She was fair and svelte with enormous ocean blue eyes that could cast a spell on anyone. She had waist-length silky hair and full lips that added on charms to her stunning face. I had noticed her everywhere and at all times. She never approached me or said a word. She just kept staring at me vacantly. At first, I ignored her as I couldn't make out what her intention was. But how long could a ignore a girl as beautiful as her? On one or two occasions, I had made my mind to talk to her but then either she evaded me or somebody interrupted our meeting.

I still remember the night, when we finally talked with each other. It was a full moon night and I had crashed on my after having my usual quota of drinks. As I was about to drift into sleep, I heard a knock at the door. I rubbed my eyes and staggered towards the door. I opened the door to find her standing outside. She looked even more gorgeous to my inebriated eyes. Her eyes were wide open and her luscious lips shivered as she tried to say something. It had been raining outside and her clothes were drenched. She seemed to be petrified and was shivering. I wasn't sure whether it was due to her wet clothes or because of something that scared her to hell.

I was annoyed a bit as I felt that she was doing all this only for teasing me. If she really wanted to meet me then why would she ran out every time I approached her. And being woken up from sleep also added on to my vexation.

"What are you doing here so late at night?" I yelled faking anger.

I regretted my anger as I saw the poor girl shivering and turning deadly pale. The next moment her shining blue eyes drooped down and she collapsed. But before she fell down, I jumped forward and held her by her waist. She was unconscious and her luscious lips were slightly parted. I picked her lissom frame up in my arms. She was as light as a feather. I took her inside and lay her down on the bed. I covered her with a blanket and walked out of the room. I turned to have one last look at her when I reached the door. She looked ravishing.
