Quick Quarantine

A month ago around February, a notification popped,which read a new type of virus "CORONA" outbreak in Wuhan City - China. What I did was a mere swipe right to the next news in my news app and a small discussion about the viral disease outbreak at the coffee table with my family.

A few weeks later, news feed pop up about the viral outbreak to many countries, especially Italy, Iran and India's first case. So that's when the things started to get intensified right from washing hands frequently and the place of the sanitizer shifted from the bedroom to the living area.

Days passed too fast and the Virus too, by the mid of March, I dared not to even open the news app as the news feeds were only about how many cases increased day by day in India and the casualties outside India especially in Italy. So the situation here in India were,

Self-quarantine

Washing hands as and when required

2nd sanitizer bottle already

Mask when we go out

And finally the privilege of"Work from home" with the TV news channel giving us the update and threat about the numbers.

So when all these things happening, suddenly a shriek whistle sound, we live in an apartment so that's the sound of the garbage collection van. I went down to drop the garbage, where I could see that the apartment watchman sitting in his room, the lady who sweeps the apartment doing her job and the garbage collecting man doing his duty as if it was their business as usuals. What pricked me was what if they do the fancy Work from home! Sorry not possible if they decide to sit at home thinking about their safety. No pay!

When many think that they are on house arrest, let's think about the people who wish they could sit at home to take care of their health too. So it's time we as citizens /humans behave in a way that helps other people too apart from stocking more of groceries, just take what is necessary and stay safe!
