Pineapples Of Shillong

I love eating fruits and among them, pineapples are my favorite. Whenever we go out for dinner and we order fruit platter I especially ask the waiter to add more pineapples in it. In the choice of raita, pineapple raita is always included in the menu.

Last year in December we decided to go to Shillong on New Year’s Eve. The weather was a bit cold but at noon the weather was very good and on the first day, we decided to go to Shillong peak. The whole city can be seen from this place like a bird's eye view.

There were many food stalls and almost every stall was selling cut pineapples sprinkled with the masala. We ordered one plate to start with just to check the taste. The pineapples were very juicy and tasty. We must have ordered 8-9 plates after that and we all relished the taste. The lunch was skipped as our stomach was already full. I had not tasted such tasty pineapples in my life before.

After that wherever in Shillong we went I always ordered at least a plate of pineapples.

Along with other memories of our trip, pineapples of Shillong are one of a thing I remember whenever we talk of that trip.

Whenever someone from our friend circle plan to visit Shillong I always tell them to taste the pineapples in Shillong peak.
