Only One Fruit

Once upon a time, there was a woman named Sunita. She used to live in a small village. She had no child and she wanted one. So, one day a boy told her that she should go to the mango tree behind the well and pluck a mango from the tree so she will get a child.

Sunita rushed to the mango tree behind the well. She climbed on the tree and plucked one mango. Before eating it she thought, if she plucks five mangoes she will get five children. So she climbed up the tree and plucked five mangoes and tied them in her pallu but, when she came down there was only one mango left.

She looked here and there but there were no mangoes and when she looked upon the mango tree she saw the four mangoes on the tree. She was surprised. So, now she plucked nine mangoes and tied in her pallu and when she went down and opened her pallu and saw eight mangoes on the tree and then she decided that she should not be greedy and be happy with what she has.

Moral – Never be greedy and be happy with what you have.
