Day 8

Monday 20th April, 2020

11:40 PM

Dear Diary,

Finally, the long weekend is over. It's the 8th day of my lock down. So, as per my calculations, my confinement will end on 3rd May which will conclude the result of my 21 days of confinement to forget him and Mystically Belgium Govt. too extended the confinement till May 3rd.

Today we went to the supermarket to buy some groceries and it seems that they decided to limit the number of customers in its stores to 50 due to the corona pandemic. The supermarket said people over 65 would get priority access to their stores between 8:00 and 9:00 AM, calling on other customers by doing their shopping outside the single hour. It’s indeed a good decision.

But due to this, we faced a huge queue in front of the Supermarket. It reminds me about the local bazaars (markets) in my hometown in India.

I can remember one day after office, we both went to a local supermarket because he had to buy some groceries and I went there as I wanted to have a feel to shop things together and to spend some time with him. At that time he reminded me about my father when he was perfectly checking the expiry dates of each domestic product. He gifted some coconut chocolates to me. That's how I started to love those white coconut chocolates.

While I was cherishing these sweet memories today, my self esteem lost the battle against my broken heart and I texted him “Do you still miss me?” but then I immediately deleted that message. However it was already read. So I got a question in return “What happened?” and my answer was “Nothing..”.

I need to work tomorrow..Off to bed now!!
