Medically Challenged

Have you visited a doctor? I know this sounds silly isnt it !! who has not we all have visited the doctor in our life and have been blindly following what doctors say, because doctor is God. after they spent 5 yrs or more to be what they are.

I have always had a very serious doubt on these doctors, not sure why may be after reading the article completely you may also have!!

Do all doctors study the same "MBBS" for example like in other graduation we have the option of choosing our subjects make a graduation, do they also have option of selecting their techniques. why I have that doubt because of the event I had.

One fine day I met with a accident I just fell and damaged my right knee, now like always I went to the same doctor and he took Xray checked the report and said nothing to worry just rest and everything is gonna be fine and charged me with a fat bill of 2000/-. I blindly believed him and followed his instructions because "Doctors are God". After 15 days religiously visited him, now after careful observation, he felt the problem is something different and just with XRay cannot be diagnosed now I have to get a MRI and CT scan at the diagnostic center referred by him only. I followed what the doctor said because "Doctor is God"!!, I went got the MRI and CT scan and one more Xray and got a huge bill of 8000/-. Then next day I go for consultation to know how my knees are doing that day was friday, and he asked me to get admitted on monday if I want to retain my legs. I was shocked to death!!! Imagine my plight.

I try to make my mind strong and then decide to consult a few more doctors. Doc # 2 a very aged person saw my reports and said why do you need the surgery I am shocked !!! It is not me it is the doctor who said I need the surgery else I lose my legs and he went on laughing, and I like a dumb person looking at him felt happy as now that I will be admitted to the hospital. I believed this doctor because "Doctor is God" !!! Doc # 3 vouched by many a senior doc who being alive was a shock to my relatives and friends but I met his daughter, a senior doctor again examined me thoroughly took a marker and started making point on my leg and said in a very high sophisticated way, we will do key hole surgery, you see this hole from here we insert the camera and from this hole all my instruments will go and so on, wow sounded so good.

I fell for the surgery technique was imagining I can now explain my friends in a similar way and even more best part I would be in the walking condition in 2 weeks, rather earlier surgery I took 3 months to recover. I fell for her because Doctor is God!!! Doc # 4 I had no hopes with this doctor, had lost 25% hope, as the voting was now 2 - 1 if one more person said surgery I have to undergo surgery. I enter the clinic a really old design didn't look attractive so I lost 25% more hope. Then the doctor came late and I lost 25% more hope he looked old stylish guy so was thinking what will he suggest , went in told my story again he heard me, again examined me, and said ok you dont need the surgery. This problem is there but not major you can rectify that. But lost 75% hope came back and become 100% positive. I fell for this doctor because the Doctor is god !!!

Now what did I decide as the score was now 2 : 2, but rather my doubts and earlier query was a bigger question, why did each doctor suggest differently I thought all studied MBBS and then did their masters in ORTHO !!! What was that one thing going in their mind when they examined me and saw my reports.
