Mark VS Knowledge
Mark VS Knowledge
“Mark is just a number, it can’t decide your future but your knowledge can decide your future”.
During our grandfather's period, they had knowledge even though they don’t have marks but now our whole education system is based majorly on the marks and the knowledge part is left up to the students to gain and no one actually cares if they gain or not.
Chirag is an average boy with an extrovert attitude and a great sense of humor that makes him a public favorite which he enjoys more often. He does not believe in scoring marks but in gaining knowledge and that led him to score fewer marks. In School, even though he is attentive, loves to solve mathematical problems, takes part in every quiz and competition, and is an all-rounder, he often comes across as a lazy guy as he doesn’t perform well in his exams. His teachers and the whole school had high hopes for him to be a school topper but once the examination was completed he was at the last, just cleared the examinations. Being questioned, his reply was that he only requires marks to pass the examination and not his whole life and that he is gaining all the knowledge and he considers knowledge to be more valuable than the marks. This was not taken well by the school and they informed his parents regarding that. His parents knew very well about him and they defended him and that made him really confident.
He cleared his final exams with average marks and joined a college where unlike others instead of focusing on the marks, he focused on gaining more practical knowledge and participated in various workshops thereby learning more practical knowledge and finally got recruited by a top MNC company where the toppers of his school and college were initially placed in a mediocre company and he was also enjoying the work he’s doing.
