Lost Identity

Priya was born to an Orthodox Hindu family who valued all rituals and norms. She was brilliant and got a medical seat. She joined the college and stayed in a hostel. Her roommate was Muslim and they were good friends too.

Both Priya and her friend shared them religious thoughts and beliefs. This gradually brought a thought in Priya that Muslim is a better religion. One day her roommate's cousin good looking and well mannered Thaheer came to see her.

Thaheer was a usual visitor. He used to take them to shop and many places. Priya fell in love with him by seeing his care and concern. Her roommate also supported her and she never thought of herself or her parents.

Thaheer had only one demand for marrying Priya is that she has to leave her religion and accept the Muslim religion. This demand at first was not accepted by Priya. But the pressure from her roommate and Thaheer made to decide that to leave her religion. Priya secretly along with the converted to Muslim.

Priya was taught all about religion, rituals and changed her name to Sameera. When her parents came to know about they were shocked. They tried a lot to get back their daughter but it was no use. She strongly believed in her love than her parents.

Priya was completely turned to Muslim in all means. But she understood the fact that when she became more close to religion the intensity of love decreased. She is forced to live a life in a state of lost identity.
