Niki came running to her room. Rain was dashing against the window. She looked out of the window. She looked out of the window and her thoughts went back to a period many years ago....

She was a bright student throughout. She joined a reputed advertising firm after completing her studies

Life was treating her good. A good job, great friends, loving parents and a cute kid sister. No one knew life had some other plans for her.

One fine sunny day morning Niki found a sauve smart guy called Nimesh walk in to her office. He was the new marketing manager for easter zone business and she soon ended up being a part of his team.

Soon common meetings, common outdoor assignments meant she found herself more and more in the company of Nimesh and before they knew or realized they had become closer to each other.

They had a common interest in movies, old classical hindi songs, fiction and food. The bond grew over time and she started looking upto him in many aspects of her life. The dreams what every girl has of a prince charming who would come and sweep her off her feet was coming true...Indeed Nimesh was the prince charming until thunder stuck and broke the dream Niki was in...

One week later the company's global meet happened. Niki and Nimesh were recognized as the top achievers. Niki felt its the time for her to share with Nimesh her innermost feelings and share that she looks upto him as her future life partner.

This thought in mind, next morning in office she walked upto Nimesh cabin. She was greeted with a wide smile and hug from Nimesh and he handed her an envelope.

The world for Niki came crashing down as she stared at the open envelope. It was his wedding invite. He said he is ecstatic to marry his childhood sweetheart and requested Niki to attend this big occasion in his life as she is one of his best friends........

Niki could just manage a yes in reply, smiled and turned her face away and walked out of Nimesh cabin with tears bursting out...

Suddenly she felt a hand on her shoulder and came out of her thoughts of 10 years ago...to her present world...

Her husband was calling her to have dinner
