There was a time when life seemed so simple. Happiness was something solitary.

Scoring good marks made you happy, getting placed made you happy. Your achievements in making your parents proud got you happiness. You were happy about fulfilling someone's wish.

And it's today where there is a huge transition of time and the meaning of happiness has completely changed. Now happiness isn't restricted to the individual.

My self is divided into several parts- spouse, children, parents. Thinking of it for a while made me realize, I have lost myself somewhere between these divided pieces of mine.

Today, happiness is when my spouse reaches safely, takes food on time with his health fine.

Happiness is when my parents are hale and hearty. It's their well-being.

Happiness is my child's impressive marks in his very first test in school, his cute smile when he comes back home, his naughty talks and naughty questions.

Happiness is when my little daughter recognizes my tone giving me an innocent smile.

Pondering over these things makes me feel if this world of mine has no place for myself. But deep down somewhere, the happiness you get from all of these is far better and above Your Self being Happy.

Maybe that's called Life- Living for others.
