Once upon a time a king had a daughter Leela, he loved her so much. The king was wicked and greedy, he used to raise tax every year and all the people in his kingdom were bound to pay the tax irrespective of rich or poor. If the poor people were unable to pay the taxes he used to take some part of their land and afterward he used to make them slaves to work free for him. Leela, on the other hand, was so generous and kind-hearted. She always helped poor and needy, also she was so intelligent, she had the perfect quality to rule a kingdom.

Leela had one friend Kalawati who was a daughter of a cobbler, one day while all the girls were playing, Kalawati was sitting quietly, seeing this Leela asked Kalawati the reason for her sadness. Kalawati started sobbing and told her how the King took all the farming land from her father and as a result, she had to leave the school as that land was the only source of income for their family. Leela consoled her and told her that she will talk with her father regarding this matter. Leela knew that his father is a tough man, he won't take her words seriously if she directly goes and asks him instead he will tell her that she is too young to understand these matters, so she had some other plans in her mind.

Next day she went to the king and asked to cut down all the grapevine from the garden, she told that she doesn't want a vine in her garden instead she wants a grape tree. King laughed and told her that this is the way the grapevine has to be since the stem of the grape tree is not strong enough they need support, and if they don't give the support the plant eventually will die without giving fruit. Leela got what she wanted, instantly she told the king about the taxes imposed on poor, that similarly, they have a weaker section in the society also and to get the best out of them, it's their responsibility to give them support. King understood the point Leela was trying to make, he called his advisors and asked them to revise the tax law. Soon the tax was uplifted from the poor section, everyone was happy to get their farming lands back. Next week when Leela went to school, she saw Kalawati. Kalawati hugged Leela with tears of joy in her eyes.
