Justice For The Truth

"No, no, no... please stop, "I cried.

Aaron and his family rushed to my room to check what happened to me. Alisha hugged me and tried to calm me down as I was too scared and was unable to catch my breath. After a few minutes when I had finally calmed down:

"Nightmare?" Aaron asked. I nodded, as it was my worst nightmare ever. It has been almost a year since I lost my family and all these nightmares started, as it is common to a person who had traumatic experiences. Somebody knocked on the door and I jumped out of my bed to see.

"Morning Ciara."

Zara was there with breakfast in her hand.

"Morning Z," I said by rubbing eyes and it was already 11:00 a.m." I don't know when I fell asleep after that nightmare. I am so sorry that I woke up too late I was just...."

"It's ok, don't worry, get up and now get ready quickly because you have to go to your therapist. You have to meet your Lawyer too," she said.

I thanked her for breakfast. After getting refreshed, Aaron first drove to our therapist and then we went to our lawyer Mr. Jameson. He gave us some good news that we have got some clues and lead related to the case but still, it was not enough to win the case against Daniel as we all were almost confirmed that the real criminal behind the murder is my uncle Daniel because he was too much jealous of my parents. Moreover, only 5 days were left for our next date in court.

There is not even a single day when this horrible memory doesn't come to my mind: I and my elder sister were behind the bars as accused of our parents' murder and then one of the policemen told me about my bail and for my shock, I found Aaron and his family who come around for my bail as our family had a good relationship with them. I got bail because I was 17 but my sister Carolyn was still behind the bars as she was 20. It was not easy for all of us to see her behind bars decide she is innocent. I was broken very badly but thank goodness I had Aaron and his family who supported me and encouraged me to fight against injustice. I don't know what I would have done without them.

My eyes were watering.

"Ciara are you okay?" Mr. Jameson asked.

"Sorry, so so sorry, I was just..." I said as I know that I was again stuck with this horrible memory.

"It's ok, no problem. Now it will be better for us to concentrate on our work " I nodded.

For the next 4 days, we worked so hard and left no stone unturned to win this case and fortunately we were able to find some solid clues and leads. And finally, the day came for justice i.e. JUSTICE FOR THE TRUTH. We all hurried to court and court hearing lasted for about 2 hours and finally, we won the case and my sister was released and Daniel was recognized as the criminal.

I can't explain how happy we all were and yes we all were in tears too... I thanked Mr. Jameson as it couldn't be possible without him, and yes finally me and my sister got justice for our parents and I once again thanked Aaron's family as they favoured us a lot and expressed how grateful we were to them. Especially Aaron who helped me in my ups and downs and his words which always encouraged me. When I had lost all my hopes he was the one who said: "BEFORE GIVING UP , FIRST THINK YOU ARE FIGHTING FOR WHAT , FOR YOURSELF OR FOR THE TRUTH, AND IF FOR THE TRUTH,THEN GO AHEAD!!!"

4 years had already passed, we were still living with Aaron's family as they didn't give us permission to leave and now they were shifting to India and so were we. After 2 years, I got engaged to Aaron and now India is my new home , he and his family were my everything. My sister got married to one of Aaron's cousin and we have started our new pace of life after that acccident but there is not a single day when I have not missed my parents. But the fight against JUSTICE FOR THE TRUTH was incredible.
