Harshita is a working woman. She is employed in an IT company in Gurgaon. She was returning to her hometown in Sambalpur after a year.

Nuakhai festival was two days hence. It is an agricultural festival observed by the people of western Odisha and Southern Chhattisgarh in India. All the relatives come back home and celebrate this festival together.

Harshita bought a necklace set of one lakh rupees for her mother and was taking it with her in her briefcase. After reaching Sambalpur station, she boarded an auto to her home. As there were two more passengers in the auto, she had to keep her briefcase in the backside of the seat.

After reaching her home she paid the fare to the auto driver and hurried to her home. She however forgot to take her briefcase from the backseat.

In her home, the aarti of Shri Ganesh was going on. Her mother opened the door for her. Upon seeing her mother, Harshita remembered her briefcase. However, she did not say anything to her mom about it and greeted her with a smiling face.

And quietly went and started praying to Lord Ganesha to help her get the briefcase. As luck would have it, the auto driver stopped near Harshita's home at a refuelling station and started filling diesel in his auto. Just then his eyes fell on the briefcase. He remembered Harshita holding one when she had boarded his auto, and he himself had kept her briefcase there.

He immediately went to her home and gave the briefcase to Harshita. The latter's joy knew no bounds, who thanked the auto driver for helping her get the briefcase.

Together all of them prayed to Lord Ganesha and thanked Him for the timely help. Upon enquiring it was found that the name of the auto driver was Vighnesh, the name of Lord Ganesha.

As Nuakhai festival is celebrated on the next day of Ganesh Chaturthi, Vighnesh was promptly invited to celebrate the festival with them, by Harshita and her parents.

And Harshita was happy that she was once again helped by her worshipped diety, Lord Ganesha, whom she prays to whenever she gets into trouble.
