Happily Ever After And Then?

We all have come across stories that start with 'once upon a time..'and end with '...happily ever after'. But what happens after that, no fairy tale tells. All they do is give us false hopes and fool us.

I too was one of the fools. When I thought my 'happily ever after ' was there, my dreams,my hopes and expectations were shattered. I was crestfallen.Let me tell you about my incomplete story.

Once upon a time, I lived peacefully with my sisters and our sons.Among the sisters, I was the eldest. But slowly our sons started killing each other and covered us with blood. Taking possession of us sisters was their aim. But what they did not know was we are theirs and they are ours.

Then the sons of our relatives from far off lands visited us for business purposes. But they started subjugating our sons and captured us. After a lot of struggle our sons rescued us. I thought I got the happily ever after. But our sons separated us sisters from one another. They separated us by border, border of thorns.

My sons get two holidays in my name. I thought they will think about me but no, they celebrate me for a couple of hours and treat the holiday as a vacation. I thought my sons loved me, but they fooled me with false promises. Only a few of them genuinely honour me.

I am India and this is my incomplete story without a happily ever after. I still have the hope that I will get a happily ever after, and my story will be completed.
