Grinding Wheat

 Once there was an epidemic of Cholera in Shirdi. The people approached Sai Baba for help!

 Baba washed his hand and face, then took some wheat and started grinding in a hand mill. 

Four women from the crowd came forward and requested Baba to let them do the grinding. Seeing the Seva attitude of the women Baba let them do the grinding work. After they had finished grinding they distributed the flour into four equal parts and started taking it with them. Just then Baba told them to throw it on the village borders!

With the grace of Baba, from that time onwards the cholera epidemic subsided and the people of the village were protected from this pandemic.

By grinding wheat here Baba actually meant that it was not the wheat, that was ground but cholera itself that was ground to pieces and pushed out of the village!
