Gender Discrimination

        When will the world stop seeing girls degeneration ? Everyone knows that the world cannot move forward without girls, then why people started seeing girls as inferior ? For some people, being born as a girl is like a curse ! In that case, Sometimes a woman becomes an enemy of another woman. If a girl child is born then what is her fault, due to which people starts hating her. " Gautami " has one such story.

      Gautami's grandmother was a very bad woman. She always disliked girls. When Gautami was about to born, the grandmother had already warned Gautami's mother that, " I want a grandson. Girl child should not be born. If a girl is born, I will never let her enter inside the house. Girls always bow their parents head. " Gautami's mother was terribly scared after hearing this. She started worrying about only one thing that, " if a daughter is born then somebody will even accept her or not. " Then Gautami was born in that house. After hearing that a girl child is born, grandma did not went to the hospital to meet her granddaughter. She was very angry after hearing about a girl child. After that Grandma did not get the chance to deny gautami inside the house, but for a month she denied to see Gautami's face. Slowly, Grandma hated her daughter-in-law because she could not give a grandson. When Gautami went to her grandmother's room, grandmother used to go out of that room. 

       5 years after this, Gautami's mother gave birth to a son. This time grandmother went to the hospital to see her grandson and brought different type of gifts for her grandson. Now she tried to keep her grandson away from Gautami. Gautami's mother used to get angry after seeing all this but was afraid to say anything to mother in law. Gautami 's father never discriminated between their children, sometimes due to his mother's bad thinking, Gautami's father used to say something to his mother and then he used to be quiet. 

       Now it was time to send Gautami to school. Now grandmother told that it is wrong to waste money by sending girls to school. Now Gautami's mother and father broke their silence and started telling a lot of things to Gautami 's grandma. Both of them did not listen to anyone's talk and permitted Gautami to go to school. Gautami was very happy with this decision of her father and mother. 

       Now Gautami started studying with hard work. On the other hand, Gautami 's brother grew up with full love and support of his grandma. Gautami could never became grandmother's favorite by making more marks in studies. But Gautami's brother failed in studies, even then grandma loved grandson a lot. Gautami used to feel bad about all this. But what would she say to grandmother ? She used to curse herself just because she was born as a girl. 

       Grandma never even looked at Gautami face clearly. But one day she came with the marriage proposal for Gautami. At that time Gautami was only 13 years old. Gautami's parents became very angry after seeing all this. But Gautami's Grandma did not listen to anyone's words and fix Gautami's marriage. Gautami started crying a lot after seeing that type of condition. Now without finding any another option, One day before marriage Gautami's parents ran away from home with Gautami. Both of them wanted to take their son from there too, but their son was sleeping that night with his grandma. Anyway, Grandma loved grandson so she will keep him well with her. After thinking this, the three are not telling anyone anything and left home. 

       10 years after this, All three returned home. Now Gautami has done a good job after studying well. But now seeing the situation of the house, all three are shocked. Because grandson was drinking alcohol with some of his bad friends and slapping his grandmother. 

        Even though Grandma may have been in a lot of pain by slapping her grandson, but she was not happy to see Gautami after a long time. Grandma scolds both her son and daughter-in-law for helping Gautami. And she also started saying that, " Today is our condition for the sake of this wretched. Neither would it have been born, nor would such day come today. " On hearing all this, Gautami started crying very loudly. Now Gautami's father got angry and told his mother that, " After all, how long will you hate Gautami ? Tell me that, what mistake did she make that you hate her so much? This is what happening today is not because of Gautami, just because of you !

All three of us already knew that Gautami's brother would be spoiled because of you. Just thinking that he will be safe with you, so we left him to you and went away. We three were always missing you both. But for saving Gautami, we were forced to go the farthest. " After this, Gautami's mother also started telling a lot of things to her mother in law. like, " how could you behave like that with Gautami, While you are also a woman. We always keep giving you respect. But you continue to embarrass my daughter day by day. You have fallen so low that you gifted marriage to a 13-year-old girl. " After eating slap from grandson and hearing lots of bitter things from son and daughter-in-law, the old woman's head bowed and started crying while remembering old things.

Grandma got a flash back of her childhood in her mind that how she was treated the same way in her childhood. After thinking about her childhood, she felt guilty about what she had done with her granddaughter in the past. She cried a lot and then begged her granddaughter to forgive her. Gautami shed tears when she saw this condition and told that it is enough that finally you realized your mistake and forgave her. She embraced her grandma. But Gautami's brother was completely treated in a bad way due to his bad friend. He took too much time but finally he also started recovering himself.
