Forbidden Love

Delight Public School (DPS) is a big school in Vizag and most of its students go to Taniya Junior college for Intermediate. Every passing batch has a bunch of stories to say. This is the story of one such. Ankit is an above average student. He is friendly to everyone but Ali and Subham being batchmates shared much bonding with Ankit. Rahul is a rebellious guy who often gets involved in brawls and grabs attention.

It is their first year of college almost 60% of that college are from DPS so they are at least familiar of faces even if they have lacked interaction. Riya, a decent looking girl joined the college she is not from DPS. Her cousin brother Arjun is also in the same college and senior to her. He belongs to the majority caste of that region and notorious as the head of that caste-based gang in the college. Rahul has seen Riya in the college and at very first glance he has taken aback by her beauty. When his friends were about to point out Riya and pass a comment..! Rahul warned his friends that he is very serious about Riya and can't bear anyone passing comments on her. Listening to that his friends shouted ohh.. hoo...

"A word said in a college has the power of crossing seven seas" and in no time the entire class became aware of Rahul's interest over Riya. Riya was not bothered about it but her brother who came to know about it kept an eye on Rahul's deeds. Ankit is a calm going guy and his benchmates Ali and Shubham are very typical last benchers who lack interaction with girls, Very humorous and pass jibes on front benchers and playboys in the class. Ali is topper among the three . Subham is a good looking guy in outdated outfits wearing spectacles. Though Ankit is a member of this gang he is the only one who interacts with girls nicely and maintains a good to average relation with the front benchers. Riya and Ankit's house was in the same way so Ankit became familiar to Riya.

Riya was bad at Mathematics and Ankit was good at it. One day on her way to house she conversed with Ankit about her fear in Mathematics. Ankit assured her that he would help her. He smiled and left for his home. Hence by time Ankit and Riya have become good friends. On the other hand, Rahul was on his trials of impressing her. He interfered in the mathematics discussions of Ankit and Riya in study hours and also accompanied them while going to home.

Ankit thought that the rumour is true, so they are able to meet each other and make some time using him as a source. While Riya thought that since both Ankit and Rahul are from DPS they might be friends. Whenever Ankit sees the morning wishes and evening wishes in whatsapp he laughs at it and when she chats at nights he replies to her in a very diplomatic manner. When Arjun came to know that Rahul is following Riya. He thought of teaching him a lesson and planned to isolate and beat him in the evening. The next day Arjun's friend said that "there is a cricket match with Aurobindo Junior College and we are planning to take some 1st years in the team. So wait after the class disperses in the classroom we will discuss taking the best players of the first year".

Rahul said okay and informed his friends about that and said not to wait for him. Arjun entered the classroom with his gang and punched him in ribs and whispered "Bloody bastard, Do you know our status in society. How dare you think about Riya". Rahul fell and moaned in pain for few seconds and said in a low voice "You were not able to be a Man by bringing a gang, faking a match and you talk about status, ridiculous..!"

Arjun hit him very badly and said that if this happens again situation will be even worse. Rahul being a rebel doesn't care. The next day this news was headlines in the class that seniors have thrashed a junior by isolating him. Rahul gained sympathy in the 1st years. Though Rahul didn't convey the exact reason for the fight his friends were obvious of the reason and rumors spread that Rahul and Riya love each other and her cousin Arjun doesn't approve it. Hearing all this Ankit thought that he would be serving no purpose now as her brother already came to know about Rahul - Riya love story so he kept away from Riya. Irritated by that gesture Riya confronts Ankit and says "You are the only friend I have got here why are you keeping me away. If my cousin hits your friend on his personal reasons what is my fault why do you punish me ?". Ankit exclaimed, "Friend..! Who? He is not my friend at all we just knew each other". Riya questioned, "Then why did he interfere in between our conversations every other time".

Ankit said, "Stop this Riya its enough everyone knew of your relation and you guys using me as a source for your communication". Riya shouted "Are you stupid? Did I always waited for you or him in the evenings? My mornings started with greeting you good morning and end up wishing you a good night. Have you ever seen me with him then how could you come to the conclusion hearing the rumours". Ankit got surprised when he learned that she is actually treating him more than a friend but he fails to recognise. Ankit asks in a confused voice but "You.. you never said it to me" Riya said, "Even I never thought of saying this early but to avoid this chaos situation I had to say it".

Ankit asks Riya to forgive his rude behavior. Riya wanted the relationship to be secret since he fears her brother and family. After this Riya averted Rahul while she is with Ankit though Rahul talked with her in one or the other way to make her brother angry. A few days had gone and new concocted stories of the Rahul-Riya relationship have created by the Rahul classmates to embarrass her brother Arjun by then they became 2nd years when Subham and Ali were talking about that stories. Ankit got triggered and said that it is a baseless story and it is actually him and Riya who are in relation. Subham and Ali laughed at him saying "please don't say this to Rahul he will get hurt, man". Lol.. Ankit says "Guys I am serious". Shubam says "Ok fine let it be true. Do you ever went outing or to a movie with her? Do anyone other than you for namesake atleast talked about Ankit-Riya relationship ?"

Ankit says "She is a conserved girl and doesn't entertain such things. She asked me to keep the relationship secret as her parents are strict". Ali makes fun of Ankit saying "Well she is very happy with the fake Rahul-Riya relation that she doesn't want to approve the reality of Ankit-Riya relationship. Rofl.." Ankit wanted to answer but the question really hit him hard and with the already existing questions in his mind his anger has increased.

Ankit went to Riya and said, "I want to seriously talk to you Riya today evening after the class". Riya said, "Are you okay..?". Ankit said "Evening 5'O clock" and went away. They met evening and Ankit said "What is the use of this idiotic relationship Riya? How does it matter when no one knows of its existence? Riya says "Rahul why do you think... " Ankit says "wait Riya let me complete It has been one and a half years of our relationship. I am frustrated with your philosophical explanations Riya. When Rahul talks to you the whole class erupts sounding Ohho.. Oo.. those are the smallest things that matter Riya. Do you know how our relation looks like a doctor's writing which literally no one but only the compounder can understand?

Even though if we get married I doubt whether our college identifies me as Ankit or Rahul.

Riya cries and says "I never thought of you as such narrow-minded Ankit. I have always cared for you and hid you from my brother but you understand me in such a mean way" Ankit says "Wait I have forgotten to make humble mention of your beloved brother. He is the one who screwed 1 and a half years of my life. Does that idiot has any work other than being a watchdog and making unwanted things sensational issues". Riya says "You have no right to talk about my brother. I may not love Rahul but he faced injuries and insults for me. Never misbehaved nor made a rubbish talk like you"

Ankit says "Well.. it may be late but you are wisely showing your true color as a process of slow evolution. You deserve slow claps.. we never had a relationship in open nor we went places and you remarking me. You don't want to condemn the fake Rahul-Riya relation at the same time you don't want to approve our relation. Once more slow claps.. If getting beaten for you is a sign of love you would have rather send your rowdy brother with hockey stick rather than praising that attention-grabbing Rahul.Oops.. Sorry, I have been cursing the great Rahul I wish you get married to the man you desire Rahul.. Goodbye..."
