Fifth Anniversary! - A Microtale

As he entered home, he hurriedly told her that he needs to go and that she should complete her usual chores quickly.

Mousumi’s little voice croaked in despair, “It is our fifth anniversary and he has forgotten.”

Irritatingly she said, “Why do you have to go again?”

He came and marked a gentle kiss on the nape of her neck and said, “I thought we can have a candlelight dinner tonight.” Mousumi’s eyes swelled and the first drop of tear rolled down her cheeks.
