"So you're saying that you're afraid?"

"Well, I didn't really say that."

"But you just..."

"But I also didn't not say that."

"What? Whatever you did, did not just make sense, Adrasteia. please tell me, I really want to know."

"But why? Why is it so important to you?"

"Because I goddamn want to know if I'm gonna be one of those people who you lose interest in eventually, and cut out from your life."

"Well, what do you want me to say huh? That I'm afraid of commitments? You know that already."

"Yes, I do know that. I just... I want to know where we are right now. I don't want to be involved neck-deep into something which will be very hard for me to get out of."

"But aren't you already too much into it?"

"How'd.... how'd you know that? I always made sure not to give any signs."

"I didn't, until just now."

"Stop playing fucking mind games. just tell me what is it?"

"So you want the truth? Well, I've been feeling detached lately. Not from you, but from us. I don't know if its because of the recent peaks and valleys, or because I'm made in a way where I lose interest in almost everything after a while or both."

"I... I don't... where does it leave us then?"

"I think you already know the answer to that question, in fact, you've known it for a while. you're just asking me because sometimes we need to hear it from someone else."

She looks away, her eyes were almost red.

"You know, they say its always easy for us to forget about the things we don't need anymore. I guess I'll be one of the things you'll forget about a couple of mornings later, Adrasteia.'

"Tomorrow's gonna be what's tomorrow's gonna be. For today, I'm sorry. whatever we had was great." She looked at me with contempt, almost as if she wants me to say more. 

"Oh, cut the bullshit, Adrasteia. I really thought you would be honest with me about this. This is about Elsa, isn't it? You've been seeing her for a while; and although you tell me she's just your friend, I know she's fucking more than that."

"The fuck, how'd you know?"

"I didn't, until just now."
