Maths was not her cup of tea, yet, you've to compulsorily do maths in school, maths seemed to be like a burden to her. But still, she somehow kept doing it. However, as maths is nothing without daily practice. She became lazy during her seventh standard unit test exams, overconfidence made her fail in maths.

For the 1st time ever, the forever class topper and monitor failed in a subject. She scored just 3/20. Her classmates stared at her with question marks, "did you just fail, Jimi? we can't imagine you to be failing!", "hahaha now topper turns failure". Teachers also told "this was never expected from you, Jimi. We hope next time, you achieve full marks in maths". She was shocked, she felt awkward being failed. Her parents told her just 1 thing, "baby, you were a little too overconfident this time, you know maths needs practice, yet you passed time being lazy. However, now learn from your mistake, we don't have any high expectations from you, but we just want you to pass at least with average marks in the next exam. Now calm down, we're with you."

Instead of pointing out her mistakes and blaming her as most parents do, her parents supported her to do better. The next day onwards, a new Jimi was reborn in her, the one who deliberately developed an interest in maths, who started solving sums day and night along with her other subjects. Maths started becoming like love for her. The next exam arrived, she gave her the best. Results were out, Jimi scored a whole 50/50 in her maths exams, from a failure she directly flew to become a topper. Her parents were in literal tears of joy, her friends demanded party from her, teachers were proud of her. She felt on top of the world.

Now it was her tenth standard, from day 1, she worked hard day and night, her goals came in her dreams, to achieve 90+ percentage, to get into her favourite college, take up arts, being felicitated in her school with all those awards, her name written for forever on the school's merit list board. Starting days were tough for her, her mother fell ill for almost a month with pneumonia, her father lost the job, there was a scarcity of income in their home. She had to do all the household chores. She suffered huge mental problems. Sometimes her confidence became too low, her hair started falling, she cried for small things, she skipped meals but still taking the name of God, she went through it all. And oh the exams were over, results arrived in June. She was expecting 85%, but oh to her surprise that day, her landline rang up, it was her father's call from the office, "Baby you've scored a 93%, you've made us SO PROUD, love you, congrats, today surely you will get to eat your Rasgulla".

Jimi, with happiness running in her veins, jumped with full joy until her cheeks started aching with that smile. She came and hugged her mom with this news. Her mom was so happy that she couldn't control her tears and went straight to the kitchen and thanked God for all this. Her friends started calling her every few mins, her phone ringed with so many congrats messages from family & friends. Her Dream just came through. Her parents supported her through all these bad times. They were proud of their daughter. The moment with her parents standing on the stage in front of the entire crowd while she was receiving all the medals around her neck was the best memory for her, that too scoring 99/100 in Maths.

Support of parents, their guidance, their love, and care play an important role in one's success.
