I always used to wonder why do people give so much importance to gadgets? I mean rather than just texting or calling each other, personally meeting each other is a real good thing. But now I realise in this lockdown time, calling and texting is the only thing left to stay in touch with our loved ones.

Moreover, video calling feels like a virtual meet up, yes don't get me wrong, but it just feels like how we used to meet at a park or a restaurant. all those people who've birthdays during lockdown, listen I know I can understand your condition, partying outside or giving treat to your friends and being outside all day long at Marine Drives, Bandra Bandstand. I know how much pleasure it gave you on your b'day and then cutting cake with friends in the evening, oh it was the real ideal b'day.

But now birthdays are still celebrated but in a virtual fashion, yes all 4 friends of yours arrange a specific time and group video call you and then 1 makes greeting card and 1 makes cake for you and you want that cake to eat but oh you can't! But your mother does bake a cake for you at home. and not to forget the online classes, online workout routines, online business conferences, etc.- Everything is still going ON! All because of the virtual world. Yes even though we're physically apart yet we are still connected virtually. The lockdown has its o

wn problems too - emotional fight with a family member, missing your loved ones, nightmares, insects in the house, etc.- and you wanna gossip everything to your bestfriend . you guys can't meet ofcourse, but you are just a number dial away! And then you talk 2 hrs endless and you feel relieved after talking to your bestfriend.

These days common dialogues on calls include- "how are you? How and from where are you ordering groceries? what new recipes did you try?" But one thing this phone call- whether its mobile or telephone, they've taught us 1 thing- that without our social circles we're nothing, means we just can't function without them. Man is a social being and this proves it. And then we realise nothing is permanent, it maybe the last time we're talking to somone, after this lockdown, we will learn more importance of relationships.

The mobile phone is the best source of entertainment - games ( we can play online games together too), music, tv, everything on our phone. And also we realise that continously using phones reduces its life span, lowers its battery life. And so we must keep our phones aside for sometime and give them rest and should engage in midful activities like meditation, dancing, singing, cooking etc. These gadgets have of course brought us together in every way possible. Be thankful always!!!!!
