Expectations Kill Me

   Everybody has some expectations in their life in fact people sometimes expect too much from us.

But what if a child can't fulfill his/her parents' expectations, do you know what it feels like?

It feels like, if I can't fulfill my parents' expectations then I should die. It really feels like I am dying from inside. This story is about such a girl who can't fulfill her parents expectations.

One day, a girl was sitting under the tree all alone engrossed in her own thoughts she was so engrossed in her thoughts that she can't see that a boy of her age is roaming here and there around her. He noticed that what she is doing, he thought in his mind that I should speak to her it

seems like she is depressed maybe I can help her.

He goes towards her and said "Heyy, Why are you sitting alone? Come let's play something."

She noticed him and replied, "Thanks, but I am enjoying my own company. "

He goes and sits beside her. And said, "I have heard that if you want to share something then share it with a stranger they will never judge you and will also, get relief by sharing your problem."

She replied, "You said correct but I'm all okay. Nothing happened to me."

He said, "Then come and play cricket with me."

She replied, "No, I don't know how to play cricket. "

He said, "Oh dear, it's very easy. I'm sure you will learn cricket in very little time."

She replied," No, I'm sorry but I'm not a quick learner. " He said, "No, you are a quick learner. "

She replied being frustrated, "Why are you expecting this from me? Why everyone has so high expectations from me? Why??? I am also a human I also have expectations from everyone, but

no, everyone wants me to fulfill their expectations but why anyone doesn't fulfill my expectations.

She was on the verge of crying now, she left from there. He was frozen for a minute. But now he

understood that expectations are killing her.

She goes inside her house and her mom said, "Why are you so late? I have told you you should be home at 6 but you are late. Why you don't listen to me I didn't expect this from you.

She replied with teary eyes, "Sorry mumma I can't fulfill your expectations I promise I'll never do it again. She goes into her room, closed the door and cried her heart out. But she makes sure that nobody should listen her crying neither mom nor dad. Because they expect her to be strong. That's why she can't cry in front of them. She has to be strong and happy all the time because her

parents expect this from her.

Another day, she again goes and sits under the tree again engrossed in her own thoughts or I can she was sitting depressed. That boy again came in that garden he was faraway from her he can see her pain and feel it too because he was also a teenager. He knows that, Teenagers are treated like children but expected to act like an adult.

He take his guitar and goes to that girl and started playing a song for her to catch her attention. She noticed him and unknowingly a smile crept on her lips, he was playing guitar very beautifully and singing a song with his heart.

After the song finished, she started clapping for him. He said," thank you and forwarded her chocolate. She takes it like a child with full happiness. And she said, "I didn't expect this from you." Thanks a lot for this. He replied, "Sometimes we should do that nobody expects from us."

B oth exchanged smiles and stared at each other for a moment but she started crying now. He consoled her and asked, "Are you okay?"

She replied, "Yeah, I'm okay because everyone expects this from me."

He said, "You can tell me whatever you want because I don't expect anything from you."

She said, "What will you do if you can't fulfill your parents expectations?"

He replied, "firstly, I'll try my best to fulfill their expectations but if I can't then....

she stopped him and said, "If I can't then I should die."

He said, "Do you think that your parents expect this from you?"No, right then if you

can't fulfill their expectations then you should speak to them that I can't do this I want to do something else you should explain them that please don't expect so much from me please don't have high expectations.

She passed a smile and said, "Bye, we will meet tomorrow." And left.

She was again late this time also her mom said the same thing but today, Today she goes to her mother and said, "Mom, if I got late then what happened? Nothing, right? So why do you always say that I didn't expect this from you these words are enough to kill me, mom. She continued,

You know what mom, in this world so many people are there and each one of them expects to have a good life always but do they have good life always? No, right. It means that if your expectations are not getting fulfilled then it's normal you can't force anyone to fulfill your expectations.

You know mumma life changes when you start to accepting things instead of expecting."

Her mom came running and hugged her tightly and started crying. And said, "Thanks my child for going me such a precious advice."

She replied, "Thanks for understanding me mom." Her mom said, "I'm your mother dear I'll always understand you."

Next day she again goes to meet that boy. He saw that she was coming towards him with a bright smile on her face. She came in front of him and said,"Thanks for changing my mindset it

really changed my life."

He replied, "Don't say thanks instead of Thanks promise me that you will give this advice to everyone who is suffering from this problem."

She chuckled and said, "okay, I promise." And asked, "Can we be friends?"

He smiles and replied, "Best friends."

She said, "Yeah, best friends."

Now she understood that If we can't fulfill someone's expectations then we shouldn't die but we should explain to them that life changes when we start to accept instead of expecting.
