What is an emotion to you or how can you define it?
Emotion is nothing but just a feeling. It comes out naturally. Emotion doesn't need any definition as it is a feeling and we know that we cannot describe a feeling. Happy, Joy, sad, angry, irritating, annoying, are just the words which one uses for expressing his/her feeling. Have you ever felt what others are feeling? No! You cannot, but you can understand what they feel through the words. Emotions can be good or bad, can be controllable or uncontrollable but that affects us in many other ways. If you believe that emotions really help us then that could protect we prevent us from depression and anxiety. We all know that depression is one of the major problems seen in youngsters and also that it is not a good thing. Mostly depression happens due to a lack of understanding of emotions. Actually, we can change our emotions through our definitions to ourselves. For example, just imagine that you are at a party and suddenly you saw your childhood friend and you try to connect with him but then you feel that he is trying to ignore you and that's the point where you will start overthinking in a very negative way. But what if your childhood friend didn't listen to you or didn't see you. If you don't know anything then you cannot blame others. If you can manage your emotions then that will bring positivity in your life like your mental health will improve, your decision-making ability will also improve, etc.
